Senior Warden's Report: Church Rectory Removal
Two years ago in June 2009, we began to implement our church's final decision to remove
our church rectory. In May of 2011, we finally received the permit required from the Prince George's County Historical Preservation Commission for this removal.
While total costs of the removal, including acquiring the permit are projected at $23,000. Contributions from June 2009 to date have given us roughly $13k, which leaves a balance of about $9,061.
This report is to acknowledge the generous contributions of our St. Barnabas community (members, supporters and friends) to date and to again encourage continued support from this same community to bridge the shortfall as noted above.
We urge everyone to again send their tax deductible checks marked "Rectory Removal" to:

Summer Services
Starting June 19th, services will be held in the Little Church.

Please continue to bring non-perishable food for the Oxon Hill Food Pantry. Be sure to keep an item with you to put in the children's baskets at the offering. Giving a little will go a long way to help our brothers and sisters in need.
Words of Faith and Inspiration
God's power of resurrection is all around us. The lives of the faithful have perceived this power for centuries, seeing God's healing power rejuvenate communities, lift the downtrodden, and give new life to the poor. Like those in the bible, we have a choice in responding to the resurrection. What will it be--fear, skepticism, confusion, wonder, hope, or belief...The decision is ours to make.
